Castlecrag 2
The project is for alterations and additions to an existing bungalow within the Griffin conservation area in Sydney's Castlecrag. The design aims to build upon the landscape setting of the locality by protecting and enhancing natural features. The form emphasizes horizontality through the massing of the upper level with its long strip window boxes and use of low pitched roof influenced as was Griffin, by the long horizontality of the local bedrock that is particularly evident on this site.
